He has completed many security projects encompassing physical security assessments, security planning reports, security management evaluations and request for proposals, planning and implementation of asset protection programs, and security awareness training program development and seminar presentations.
Before joining Kroll, John was Director of Security for the Wells Fargo national account at Jones Lang LaSalle, as well as Director of Security for the preceding Wachovia account at Cushman & Wakefield. The assignment covered security management and oversight of the portfolio, including senior executive offices, trading floors, data centers, critical infrastructure and building management systems. His additional responsibilities were fire and life safety planning and preparedness, continuity of operations, emergency preparedness, security operations management, security system management and federal and local law enforcement liaison.
In August 2020, John was selected to serve as a voting member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Physical Asset Protection Standard and Facilities Physical Security Measures Guideline technical committee. The committee is charged with reviewing and editing ASIS’s emerging reference guideline for use by security industry practitioners.
Additionally, John has served as an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has taught graduate level courses since 2008.
John holds an M.S. in protection management from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a B.F.A. in film and television from New York University. He is also a Certified Protection Professional.
